Sharon M. Dickinson, PA-C
Sharon grew up in San Fernando Valley, CA. and graduated Cum Laude with BA (Exercise Science) Humboldt State University, Arcata CA. Small town very Northern CA, on coast in redwoods. She moved to Portland Oregon in 1991. And to Salem 1998, started at Salem Hospital, where she worked in ICU for 9 years and first met Dr Walker.
In 2005 Sharon entered Pacific University School of Physician Assistant Studies in forest Grove, Oregon. During clinical phase; Variety of clinical rotations in all medical specialties working with physicians across country, including: Orthopedic Surgery and OB GYN-each in Astoria, Oregon; Pediatrics and Dermatology in Idaho; Emergency Medicine on big Island Hawaii; 3 months family medicine –birth to grave/ED in interior Alaska during winter; internal medicine 2 months Scripps, San Diego; critical care/pulmonary/sleep medicine Salem Oregon, with additional 2 months of inpatient internal medicine also at Salem Hospital. While at Pacific University she earned a Josiah Hill Scholarship.
She did her Masters Project: Original Research, outcome study: Comparison of Non-physician initiated Protocol verse non-protocol physician initiated removal from Mechanical Ventilation. Presented at 2008 National AAPA conference Poster Session.
Later Sharon Graduated with honors, August 2007, with masters Science in PA studies, Pacific University. She assed PANCE, national board certification exam, September 2007 and was licensed by Oregon Medical Board. She later started Cascade Cardiology October 2007.
Her husband's name is Wayne and his daughter is Naomi. They also have a Cat and Dog.
Sharon enjoys SCUBA, primarily cold water-assistant instructor, DAN instructor and is a Volunteer diver at Oregon coast Aquarium 3 years. She also likes water Polo, reading, watching movies and kickboxing at the courthouse.
