Maziar Azadpour, M.D.
Maziar Azadpour grew up in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (1994) and then practiced surgery in Iran for two years. In 1998, he moved to the United States to continue his medical training and to become a U.S. citizen.
Dr. Azadpour did his Internal Medicine Residency at Griffin Hospital in Connecticut and St. Luke’s—Roosevelt Hospital Center (Columbia University) in New York City (1998-2001). He then went on to begin his cardiology research fellowship at the University of Texas and the Texas Heart Institute (2001-2002). His clinical cardiology fellowship was done in Miami Beach at the Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida (2002-2005). Dr. Azadpour then completed his Interventionary Cardiology Fellowship program (2005-2006).
In July of 2006, Dr. Azadpour moved to Oregon to join Cascade Cardiology. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Internal Medicine and is certified in nuclear cardiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Mid-Valley IPA, American College of Cardiology, the Oregon Medical Association, and the American Society of Echocardiography. In addition, Dr. Azadpour is currently serving as the Medical Director for Cardiac Services at Silverton Hospital.
Dr. Azadpour and his wife, Farnosh, enjoy tennis and swimming.
